PinkMafiaRadioEp67 News Notes and Noah

hearit

It’s all about drama on Episode 67 of PinkMafiaRadio. I get into some of the details around Noah’s Arc making the leap to the big screen. I also share my views on the use of homophobic language by Donald Trump and Isaiah Washington. I conduct no interview on this episode but do talk about statements made by Jenson Atwood about the fate of Noah’s Arc. Please send feedback questions or comments to Steven at PinkMafiaRadio@yahoo.com or call me 206 202-0296.

Jenson Atwood on NPR

Music on this show is by Jackie Beat – “No More Drama”

This is a clip from a documentary on the word "FAGGOT"

Clips of the Isaiah Washington issue.

Another example of why its vital to address issues of homophobia in media.

In this episode I refer to the use of the word “Canceled” by many listeners, bloggers and even cast. I am not referring to any blog specifically but am referring to the fact that there has been no “official” cancellation of “Noah’s Arc”. It is my view that to focus on the show not returning to LOGO in 2007 instead of the plans to make a feature film based on the show is to chose to describe the current status of Noah’s Arc in a negative way.

It is not my intent to further the confusion over this issue or to inflame anyone. I acknowledge that the info coming out from LOGO and many others involved with Noah’s Arc can be interpreted in many ways. I mean no disrespect to the hard working and dedicated bloggers out there who have chosen to address this situation as an end and not as a new beginning.

thank you for bringing this kind of ignorance to light so that others may know what a truly sick, hateful world SOME PEOPLE choose to live in. i am literally sickened physically and emotionally by this clip, but i watched it to the end somehow...i am moreso sickened by the fact that the singer joins that type of hate with worship and being "God-like," using pseudo-Christianity to repress his homosexual tendencies, not realizing that by bring to light his OWN insecurites about his life in such a negative way, he is keeping many others from seeking a higher spiritual level. hopefully, impressionable people will realize that the God he speaks of in this song is not one of truth, because God hates NO ONE.

That music video is sickening to watch, when did incitement to hate become the norm? I guess that is a stupid question to ask. Thanks for raising the point, because so few people do and it seems to be excepted as the norm in the US.

I guess this highlights a big difference between the UK and the US.

I've been listening to your podcasts for the past month and i had to write to you to say thank you.

The podcats are very informative and give an interesting insight to Gay life in the USA.

Being from the UK we face similar issues as our US cousins and at the same time we have a different experiance.

I also like that the fact that you cover many issues expecially black issues and you seem to be open to see things from a range of view points.

I'm looking forward to the next podcast and i hope that you can visit the UK as it would be good for the americans to see the pink world from a British view point.

Keep up the good work. You are providing a valuable information service that will benefit more people than you'll ever know.

    Peace.
